Function of the Particle Filters
The pressurized gas flows into the filter inlet and passes through a fine filter element. In the process, contaminants are separated by various physical effects:
- Direct impact: Larger particles collide directly with the filter medium and adhere to it.
- Inertial effect: Heavier particles do not follow the gas stream during directional changes and settle out.
- Sieving effect: Finest particles are trapped in the narrow gaps of the filter medium.
The purified gas exits the filter through the outlet. Depending on the installation setup, T-type and inline filters are available – ensuring easy maintenance, low pressure drop, and maximum flexibility.
