Reliably design high-pressure hydraulic applications.

Why high-pressure hydraulics are essential

Modern manufacturing and testing processes require precise pressure control, even under extreme loads—such as in hydroforming, waterjet cutting, isostatic pressing, or high-pressure testing. In these applications, systems often operate at pressures well above 1,000 bar, in some cases reaching the ultra-high-pressure range.

Even the slightest deviations have a direct impact on process reliability:

  • Leakages cause pressure losses,
  • imprecise control reduces component quality,
  • material weaknesses can lead to failures or safety risks.

Precisely engineered high-pressure hydraulics are therefore essential to ensure reproducible results, stable processes, and high system availability—both in series production and in research applications.

This is exactly where WEH® High Pressure Solutions come into play: they ensure that pressure systems remain stable, leak-tight, and precise even under extreme operating conditions.

Practical performance requirements for high-pressure hydraulics

Across industries, the same core requirements apply.
WEH® High Pressure components support all of these requirements with a modular portfolio of valves, pressure generators, filters, tubing, and fittings.
High-pressure application
DISPLAY NONE
Generate constant pressure and control it precisely

In hydroforming, waterjet cutting, or testing processes, stable pressures are critical. Pressure fluctuations lead to quality losses or scrap.

Leak-free operation

At pressures exceeding 1,000 bar, leakages pose a significant risk. Components must remain permanently leak-tight—even under varying load cycles.

Ensure long service life

High pressures place substantial stress on components. High-quality materials, controlled manufacturing processes, and correct system design extend the service life of the entire system.

Durable

Medium pressure components made from 1.4404, High pressure components made from 1.4542 / 17-4 PH (approximately 50% higher strength than 1.4404).

Specially hardened materials are used at the valve sealing seats.

Versatile application

Two systems for a wide range of pressure levels:
Ø Medium-pressure components
up to 1,379 bar / 20,000 psi

Ø High-pressure components
up to 10,000 bar / 150,000 psi

High flow capacity

The larger effective bore of the valves and fittings reduces pressure losses and enables fast, efficient media flow even at high pressures.

Industry-standard compatibility

WEH® Components are compatible with all commercially available 60° cone and thread tube fittings.

Customized solutions

When standard solutions are not sufficient, we develop components tailored precisely to your processes. Our approach is structured, efficient, and designed for collaborative partnerships.
